Finding the right arthritis knee pain treatment can be very confusing. For those who suffer from arthritis, pain relief is the number one priority. With there being so many remedies on the market offering instant pain relief, how do you know who to trust. I know for many getting rid of the pain is what you want to do but is this the right approach.

Many people use acetaminophen and ibuprofen for pain relief. There are so many side effects associated with long term use of these remedies who want to take that kind of a risk. Side effects such as liver failure with acetaminophen and gastric upset and bruising with ibuprofen. Recently there was a report released about the use of acetaminophen long term and it was not pretty. Why are we just looking to treat the symptoms instead of trying to find a long term solution to arthritis instead.

As a registered nurse, I believe that arthritis knee pain should be treated by natural means. Treating the underlining cause of the disease is the best method because not only are your the treating the symptoms naturally but you are correcting the cause as well.

For instance, we know that osteoarthritis is a result of damage knee cartilage from wear and tear in the joints. As we age, we lose the ability to produce natural substances our body need to rebuild cartilage such as glycosaminoglycans. If you have never heard of glycosaminoglycans, don't worry about it but it is a major component of joint cartilage reproduction. If we are no longer producing this substance in sufficient quantities, then damaged cartilage just become more deteriorated and no rebuilding takes place.

So let focus on natural supplements that help rebuild and support healthy cartilage. As a result, when you support and nourish cartilage, this in turn reduce arthritis knee pain and promote healthy joints. To accomplish this goal, what are the best natural supplements out there?

Two natural supplements that can be taken for arthritis knee pain is Glucosamine and MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane). They help support, rebuild and nourish cartilage and connective tissues. Long term relief to arthritis knee symptoms is best accomplished by nourishing and rebuilding cartilage.

The key to finding the best natural product to choose from is finding one that uses natural ingredients that work together synergistically because you just don't want another salve, juice or pill that just don't work. The most important thing for you is that you don't have to let arthritis knee pain slow you down with the proper natural supplements there is help.

Thanks for a wonderful article, Zandra. I suffer from osteoarthritis of the back, hips and other joints and know exactly what you are talking about. I hate taking medication continually and am not very good at sticking to a routine of taking pills of any kind. Sometimes I prefer to suffer--when it gets too bad, I will take a couple of Aleve. That seems to help a little. Most often I go to the doctor and he gives me a shot, which is also a short-term fix.

Thanks for the advice and welcome to SearchWarp.
